How do I know which shade to pick?

We are here to help.  We can do a free colour consultation with you by simply sending a pic of yourself with no makeup on (don’t worry, pics are private and never shared) then we can suggest the shade we think will best compliment your skin tone.

Once you’ve purchased this shade, we will send you your bottle of Bedrock foundation along with a sample of that same colour plus a sample of one other colour you may like to try.  Have a play with these samples and if you prefer the other tester shade, return the unopened bottle of Bedrock in the reusable courier bag we send you and we will send you out the other shade.

You can also look on our Facebook or Instagram pages and see the models wearing the foundation shades to get judge of what skin tone matches what shade.  Each pic is stating what colour was used.

Right here in New Zealand of course.  Melanie set out to find the best team of Cosmetic Chemists with certified organic and natural manufacturers in our beautiful country and boy did she deliver.  An expert team of scientists together with Melanie’s vast knowledge of the beauty and makeup world, Bedrock was developed.

 

What is the best way to apply Bedrock Foundation?

Our beautiful and perfectly designed foundation brush is the only tool you’ll ever need.  It allows you to perfectly buff and blend the product onto your skin just like an expert.  Using fingers to apply foundation is never a great idea, its messy, your transferring germs and you will never achieve a flawless finish. You also use less product when using our brush which is an added bonus. 

 

Do you Test on Animals?

Never, Ever.

 

Is Bedrock Vegan?

Yes, absolutely – our products do not contain any animal ingredients or animal –derived ingredients.

 

What ingredients does Bedrock use?

Are your products fragranced?

We don’t add any fragrance to our products.  We don’t need to as the innovative, clean and natural formula we use is so beautiful in itself.  After all, mother nature is perfect, we don’t need to correct her.

 

How do I clean my makeup brushes?

I find baby shampoo great for cleaning the brushes.  Use warm water and always hold the brush down so the water runs down over the bristles.  Don’t hold the brush upright with water pouring straight into the bristles.  This will damage the bristles and weaken the glue.

Rinse well, apply a small amount of baby or mild shampoo onto your palm and gently swirl the brush around your palm, gently squeeze bristles from the handle side out to the tips.  Repeat this under warm running water to remove shampoo.  Once water is running clear, squeeze out excess water and allow to dry on its side. Do not put the brush upright in a jar as again the water will go down into the ferrule and weaken the glue.  I find it works best to roll up a towel and lay the brush on it so the bristles aren’t touching the towel. The bristles are free to dry without affecting the shape.

 

When will I receive my order?

We ship the order out to you within 24 hours of ordering, covid times have caused delays but you should normally expect to see it between 2-3 working days from placing your order within New Zealand.

 

Do you ship Internationally?

Absolutely. If your country is not on the list, message us and we will sort it.
